Description

Firestone All-Purpose Fasteners are used in roofing applications for the attachment of roofing insulation and base sheets in combination with Firestone Insulation Plates, Batten Bar, Termination Bar, V-Plates and other accessories to steel and wood substrates where approved by Firestone Technical Specifications. The Firestone All-Purpose Fastener is Factory Mutual (FM) approved.

Method of Application

Using a #3 Phillips driver bit, and a variable speed drill, engage the fastener into the deck, taking care not to over or under drive the fastener. Threads must engage the decking material per Firestone Specifications.

Precautions

Eye protection must be worn during the installation of the fasteners.

Steel Decks - Select fastener length to penetrate through the deck a minimum of 3/4" (19.1mm)

Timber Decks - Select fastener length to penetrate through the deck a minimum of 1" (25.4mm)
